Marcus Jordan is on a spree of honoring his dad’s legacy with a Trophy Room twist. The latest in the collaboration between his brand, The Trophy Room, and Air Jordan, is the new Air Jordan 1 Low ‘Rookie Card – Away’ edition. Complementing it is a nostalgia-heavy short film titled, Rookie Card, which the official Trophy Room Instagram page shared.
“’ROOKIE CARD” Short Film… The card that started it all… The Air Jordan 1 Low ‘Rookie Card – Away’ by TROPHY ROOM™… An homage to the greatest to ever play the game,” the post read. Marcus himself commented under the Reel, “Got that new pair of @jumpman23 feeling‼️ LFGOOO.”
The short film is bursting with ’80s vibes. It follows a teen who gets his hands on a classic Michael Jordan rookie card in a wax pack. He takes it to a collector who gives him the Air Jordan 1 Lows in return.

Not unlike how we’d wish happened when we get our hands on Jordans, the teen has a ‘vision’ of His Airness himself in his early career. Strutting in his new skids and jamming to his old-school Walkman, our protagonist takes flight towards a basket. In the end, he’s nudging a friend who also has a Michael Jordan rookie card.

Along with the red, black and white Bulls colors, there’s a touch of yellow too that’s a nod to the border of the Fleer card. The Jumpman insignia in the woven heel, the satin finish at the toe guard and quarter, and the classic Swoosh symbol add to the vintage visuals. An addition is the Trophy Room emblem embroidered on the forefoot.
