When your dad’s the one and only Michael Jordan, you make the most of it. Marcus Jordan is growing his own business, The Trophy Room, within the Jordan Brand umbrella. The luxury fashion boutique is inspired by His Airness and Marcus’ childhood. It’s only fitting that Marcus’ boutique had a throwback to his dad’s first Christmas venture for Air Jordan which saw MJ taking on Santa Claus.
In 1985, Nike released a Christmas-themed commercial for the Air Jordan 1. It was MJ vs Santa Claus and we know who’s getting beat. The theme though was gifting a loved one Air Jordans on Christmas.
The official Trophy Room Instagram page shared the commercial on December 25 as, “MJ Monday.” The Trophy Room is, “Inspired by the trophy room within the Jordan family residence.” So this throwback encompasses everything about Marcus’ business.

The Jumpman himself is a big part of Marcus’ business. The father-son duo is helming the newest drop of Trophy Room x Air Jordan. Marcus shared two samples of the upcoming sneakers, Trophy Room editions of the Air Jordan 1 Low and Air Jordan 7. The colorways are inspired by MJ Sr.’s ’86 Fleer rookie card among other famous moments of his career memorable to Marcus. Marcus has also collaborated with other major brands like Nike Inc., and Upper Deck Authenticated.
Having started off as a high-end sneaker store in Orlando, The Trophy Room has since expanded to offer a diverse range of products, including footwear, apparel, and memorabilia, which has proven to be a significant source of income for him. This along with his other ventures such as his podcast with Larsa Pippen has got Marcus’ net worth close to $1.5 million. Talking about Larsa Pippen, she surprised Marcus with a shiny $80,000 gift for his 31st birthday.
