DJ Diesel is about to make December hotter. Shaquille O’Neal has produced some hard-hitting rhymes for a collaboration with the next big thing out of Chicago. And Chi-City isn’t the only connection his collaborator has with the NBA superstar Shaq idolizes. In fact, they both have a strong affinity for the one and only Michael Jordan.

Luke Gawne took YouTube by storm with his fast verses and unexpected collaborations. MJ doesn’t have a rap-adjacent career. So Gawne is joining another giant athlete-rapper.

Don’t count on Shaq for any holiday jingles. The big fella is sizing up to be Diesel this holiday season with a collaboration with rapper, singer, and songwriter, Luke Gawne aka Gawne. The Chicago-based artist announced their collab on social media and gave a date to expect chaos too.

Mark your calendars for December 8. Shaquille O’Neal has done his share of the group project in time to drop their new joint track with a music video on the date.

Shaquille O’Neal sent me the hardest verse of 2023 no – who’s ready for December 8th,” Gawne tweeted. No word on what the theme is going to be but Gawne has a history of turning NBA careers into strong verses.

Previously, he and Futuristic dropped their single, “Michael Jordan” on the Chicago Bulls hero. The 2020 music video had Gawne rocking a vintage #23 jersey while rapping about wanting to be like His Airness.

Shaq’s reminder about the GOAT

In the “Shaq & Kobe” remix, O’Neal rapped, “I find ’em and remind ’em, ’cause y’all the kind to forget.” He does like to remind everyone he went against tough opponents in his NBA career. One of his favorite boast points is that his Orlando Magic squad were the last team to beat Jordan&Co. in a playoff situation.

If you listen to Gawne’s “Michael Jordan,” you’d know what Shaq meant when he said,I have played against many of the greatest, but Michael Jordan was one level above.” O’Neal’s admiration for MJ shows in different ways, including always naming him in his dream lineup.
