Who wants to watch the Bulls vs Warriors when the ‘Ring of Honor’ will be the highlight tomorrow? This is what Charles Barkley had in his mind when the Chicago Bulls announced that Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen as the first honorees for the inaugural event. Barkley was a friendly rival of the 6x NBA champion, but things changed after the two developed a beef over the years. The same is the case between Pippen and Jordan. Thus, the Philadelphia 76ers legend was excited to witness the awkwardness between the legendary Bulls duo.

On a special appearance at the Dan Patrick show, Barkley had shared, “I’m just gonna sit back in the corner and stare… I’m praying, please don’t have it on a night I gotta work…I’m gonna have to go to Chicago that day just to see it. You talk about weirdest, uncomfortable, uncomfortable won’t do it justice.” Well, there is a sudden change of events now!

The Bulls have informed that both Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen will not be attending the ceremony. Sadly, Charles Barkley‘s plans have been ruined now. It’s time to cancel the tickets to Chicago! Not just Barkley, but also the hoop fans are disappointed that Pippen and Jordan are not coming. The expectations were set high, only for an upset. At least, Jordan was kind enough to share a video that he will not be attending the event.
