Kanye West gave Chicago a shoutout all the way from Italy. While he’s there to host a listening party for his latest song, “Vultures,” he stopped by the Milan Fashion Week. His choice of ensemble turned heads as he chose to wear Nike gloves and shoes amid a dispute with his former partner, Adidas. It wasn’t Air Jordans but West showed he’s still in Michael Jordan’s good graces.
During a customary fit check interview, Yeezy gave a shoutout to his two favorite brands from his native Chicago – Girbaud and Jordan. His inclination for Nike, though, earned a reaction from MJ’s son, Marcus Jordan. He shared the clip on his Instagram Stories with the additional comment, “Ye cold lol.”
It’s not West’s sudden affinity for Nike and the Jordan Brand but his probable jab at Adidas that has Marcus calling him ‘cold.’ West has a turbulent history with Adidas, which used to sell his Yeezy collection. Everyone’s seeing his Nike gloves and shoes as a taunt at Adidas.

The supposed jab and West’s titanium teeth somewhat slipped under the radar next to his wife. Bianca Censori took Milan by storm in her risque leather statement.
Marcus Jordan remains Yeezy’s fan
While brands like Adidas distanced themselves from Kanye West after a series of controversies, he still has fans on his side. Marcus Jordan is one of them. In an episode of his podcast with Larsa Pippen, Separation Anxiety, Marcus gave the example of the rapper as an artist who has evolved and drawn fans at different stages of his career.

“I feel like Ye, you know, from where he first started to obviously where he is at now, there has been a huge transition in journey.” he said in a conversation with Larsa. “Somebody that didn’t like ‘Yeezus’ might have liked, you know, his next album.”
Marcus keeps up with all things Ye. After the release of Vultures, Marcus posted, “This @kanyewest album…” he ended with an exhaling emoji. That’s pretty cryptic. Especially given the context. Apparently, Ye’s love for the Jordans is one-sided. In 2015, he dropped the track, “Facts” which contained the line, “Yeezy just jumped over Jumpman.” The Jumpman in question was reportedly not happy with that reference.

When it comes to his relationship with Larsa Pippen and his admiration for West, Michael Jordan is not a factor for Marcus. He continues to show his love for West’s artistry. What do you think about this crossover?
