Drake, while performing on Monday, received a Kobe jersey from the fans. He held it up to show love for the late great Kobe Bryant. This made the rapper talk about this iconic moment from fifteen years ago on day 2 of his concert.

Drake’s first time meeting the stars in Los Angeles

Drake gave a heartfelt monologue to his fans. He was on stage during his concert at the Crypto.com Arena. That’s when he started talking about the time he met Lil Wayne and Kobe Bryant. Drake said it was during the time when he was flown out to Los Angeles by Lil Wayne. He was about to get signed by Lil Wayne to his new label, Young Money, and he was on Wayne’s tour bus. Then he stated, “Finally, this tall figure walks to the bus, right through the doorway of the bus, and it’s Kobe Bryant”.

He talks about how the three of them sat together on the bus and listened to ‘Tha Carter III’. He is still grateful to have had that opportunity and will never forget the day. That’s how he was welcomed to Los Angeles.
