Diana Taurasi scripted this history in her 13-year career in the NBA at Arizona. Footprint Center of Arizona witnessed the greatest moment of the WNBA as the Phoenix Mercury guard registered a high of 42 points in a record-shattering game, where she crossed the 10k career mark.
When journalists asked her to comment on her achievements, Taurasi conveyed that she played basketball because she loves to play, but her focus has never been on scripting records. WNBA commissioner Cathy Englebert was among the many who showered praises, which reached the ears of NBA legend Allen Iverson.
Iverson, fondly known as ‘The Answer’, shared a sweet gesture on his Instagram handle by congratulating Diana. Allen is an important iconic NBA star and was the first mainstream basketball player to bring hip-hop culture to the NBA. One of the undeniable reasons for the fame of the NBA.
