Big Diesel has made no secret of who he considers the greatest NBA player ever. Time and again, he has picked Michael Jordan as the GOAT. He’s triggered more than a few fans every time. But if you’re Shaquille O’Neal, you get away with it. He’s reaffirmed this point on social media this time. He shared a post by Instagram page, ‘@michaeljordanjumps’ on his Stories that gloated about Michael Jordan. The post listed 21 stats from Jordan’s entire NBA career, from his ‘most final MVPs’ to ‘most all-defensive 1st teams.’
Comments under the original post was a raging debate. Fans jumped in to argue whose stats are better between Michael Jordan and LeBron James. Some commenters listed a similar resume for King James in the comments. That hardly sways O’Neal’s opinion.

However, Shaq briefly did support James when he broke Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s scoring record. He’d also throw Kobe Bryant and Stephen Curry’s names in the hat. But at the end of the day, Shaq comes back to His Airness.
Did Shaq and MJ play together?
Other NBA titans have also endorsed Jordan for GOAT. Recently, Kevin Garnett called MJ a “f*****g God.”
Even YouTuber Alukadub, amped up the GOAT debate with their video. That video revealed that Jordan holds the record for the ‘NBA’s highest vertical jump’ – 48 inches. James falls short of that record by four inches. O’Neal’s record is 32 inches.
O’Neal and Jordan never got to play together. However, O’Neal formed a legendary combination with a young Kobe Bryant two decades ago. If that was a strong combination, fans can’t imagine what Big Diesel and Air Jordan could do together. That opportunity was lost when O’Neal didn’t make the cut for the Olympic team on which Jordan was.
