Gypsy Rose Blanchard’s story has been a talking point across the globe. Her ordeal of growing up in a troubled household, the end to that story, and her recent release from prison are all over everyone’s mind. NBA veteran Lamar Odom is also among those who empathize with Blanchard.

Recently, the Los Angeles Lakers legend reached out to her via social media, offering to help her out. Due to her mother’s Munchausen syndrome by proxy, she had taken out several of her teeth and salivary glands, only to prove her point to people that Blanchard was suffering from tooth decay.

Odom has recently opened a dental clinic and according to TMZ, the NBA veteran has offered Blanchard to take care of that procedure and fix her dental issue through his new clinic. The Lakers legend was drawn to the story even more after learning that dental problems were such a big part of Blanchard’s plight growing up. Since he has a platform through which he can provide her with better care, the 44-year-old decided to reach out to her. The cost of the procedure is said to be upwards of $30,000. As per the report, Blanchard is very touched by Odom’s gesture and is considering getting the dental procedure done.

This isn’t the first time when Odom has reached out to someone in order to help them. Having gone through some tough times in his own life, he understands the value of reaching out and has done it for several other people. In April of 2023, he invested in three drug treatment centers in California with the aim of helping as many people as he could with their drug issues, something that he has experienced as well. The Odom Wellness Treatment Centers are all about second chances.

His representative said, “He wants to help everyone he can. He is thankful that he was given a second chance at his life and feels his destiny is to help others.” However, this is not where Odom wishes to stop with his quest to help people out of their drug problems. At the time when the three centers were announced in California, his representative said that they would soon be starting a new center in San Diego, and one in Calabasas as well.
