Paul George’s new podcast starring Lou Williams had a lot of interesting stories featuring late legend Kobe Bryant. It’s a known fact that the Los Angeles Lakers icon has been an inspiration for the current-gen NBA players and they do not take him for granted. George, who once faced a major hindrance in the 2019 playoffs, decided to seek help from Bryant. The Los Angeles Clippers star revealed how the 5x champion helped him overcome it with a huge detailed paragraph.
Though George is happy that Bryant helped him, he also regrets the missed opportunities with the late legend. The 8x All-Star got a bit emotional speaking about it, yet he was happy to be this close to Bryant.

Before round 1 of the 2019 playoffs, Paul George dealt with a shoulder injury that had kept him sidelined for several weeks. Before returning to the game, he was skeptical if he could manage the double teams on him and the pressure of the playoffs. To get an answer, he decided to go to Kobe Bryant.
George shared on his podcast, “We was playing against Portland in the playoffs and I was having trouble… My shoulders was f***** up. Just got a shot to play in the playoff series. I need some help. I’m getting double-teamed like I don’t know…I ain’t played ball in two weeks leading up to this, so I just sent Kobe a text.”
What did Bryant do? George continued, “He hit me back ultimately the next morning, a whole paragraph of breakdown like when, you know, this player do this, do that, when the help come look for this, like it was just in-depth like detailed out.”
Says a lot about the Black Mamba! However, the 33-year-old George admitted to having regrets about not reaching out to Kobe enough. It was something he shared in common with his guest, Lou Williams.

Lou Williams shared that he had a similar relationship with Bryant and that he always had his number but did not have the heart to text him. Well, that is the exact regret that George has.

“Hearing about how intense his workout was, hearing about the times he worked out…I was afraid to really like, ‘Yo Kobe, can I come workout with you?’ type of s***. And that is the biggest regret of not utilizing that time when I had the chance.”
