The Los Angeles Lakers legend Shaquille O’Neal, just like he dominated the basketball court, is now dominating the business world. The 7’1 4x NBA champion, with his elite business instincts, has a net worth of a cool $400 million. From investing in tech companies like Google to opening his own restaurant chain, Shaq has tried his hand at a wide range of industries. 

Shaq not only makes a living from business but also does two other jobs. Recently, Shaq took time out of his busy schedule to disrupt his daughter’s training.

The diverse post-retirement interests of Big Diesel

Shaquille O’Neal, after his retirement from the NBA, has dabbled into many interests. Shaq is living the dream post-retirement life. During the regular season, he is a sports analyst on TNT. In the off-months he dazzles the music world with his stint as DJ Diesel. All this while working as a full-time entrepreneur.

Recently, Shaq, along with his daughter, teenaged sensation Me’arah O’Neal, took time out to inspire young basketball players in Houston.

DJ Diesel went to Houston’s Shoot 360 Basketball training facility. The young and aspiring fans were in shock seeing the 2000 NBA MVP in the facility.

During his time at the gym, Shaq gave his admirers a lot of affection by posing for photos and greeting them. As a sign of gratitude for Shaq’s visit, the host organization shared a video of the time he spent there with the world and wrote,

“A big thanks to @shaq and @mearahoneal_ for stopping by. We ❤️ your family. #basketball #shaq #shoot360houston #viral #nba #houston”

The Big Aristotle made amends for disrupting his daughter’s training by playing basketball with her and the other athletes at the facility. 

Shaquille O’Neal always works hard

Shaq, sitting on a mammoth wealth of $400 million, did not get there easily.

In 2011, he made a name for himself in the TV industry after he joined Warner Bros’ channel, TNT, as a sports analyst. His partnership with his long-time rival turned friend, Charles Barkley, has glued everyone to their seats. 

Of course, Shaq was not satisfied with the amount of rush he was getting by being an entrepreneur and a television figure, so he decided to be a full-time DJ in 2017. Recently, he started his own music live stream by providing astonishing cash rewards.

The NBA veteran earned close to $292 million during his 19-year basketball career in the NBA. After hanging up his shoes in 2011, the renowned athlete delved into his other interests.

With everything he’s done, Shaq is a true motivation for individuals all across the world to keep working hard.
