The New York Knicks and Warriors game was a thrilling ride for everyone. But particularly for the man who won his 1st Sixth Man of the Year award in MSG. The matchup between the best shooter ever — Stephen Curry — and the Villanova favorite — Jalen Brunson — attracted almost 20,000 people into Madison Square Garden. Amongst these fans were some celebrities who showed up to bear their colors in New York, including Knicks legend Jamal Crawford and 2x Super Bowl winner, Michael Strahan.
Many other Knicks family members were also there to watch their team, sadly, lose to the Golden State Warriors 110-99 at home. While the hosts did not get to boast about their victory, Jamal Crawford did. After the exciting game, Crawford posted an Instagram story shaking hands with the well-known TV personality and former defensive end, Michael Strahan. He captioned it, “Appreciate the words big dawg!”

Before running into the 52-year-old NFL legend, the 3x Sixth Man of the Year also got a chance to catch up with the Warriors’ leader Stephen Curry. Further, he also posted a story with Travonne Edwards and famed director Spike Lee, captioning it, “Family.”
Crawford seemed to have a wonderful homecoming as he posted a slide of photos from the Garden. The exhilarating crowd at Madison Square also included other athletes in the New York family like former NHL players Kaapo Kakko, Ryan Lindgren, and Will Cuylle.

Even though Crawford was briefly a Warrior for the 2008-09 campaign, his allegiance clearly lies in the Big Apple where he played out 5 seasons of his prime and won the first of his 3 Sixth Man honors. Though the Knicks lost in front of their legend, they did give extreme competition to the Golden State Warriors.

He was followed by Stephen Curry and Draymond Green with 11 and 10 rebounds each. Further, Josh Hart also dished out the highest assists in the game with 7 in his bag. On the other hand, Green distributed 6 assists for Golden State.
However, for fans in the MSG, the 1st quarter set the tone as the Dubs jumped out to a 12 point lead with Curry dropping 3 threes in the first 3 minutes. Jonathan Kuminga also continued his red-hot run with 25 points and 8 rebounds in New York. All in all, it is safe to say that the crazy chase of scores gave the spectators a run for their money.
