The VH1 show took an uncomfortable turn when Evelyn Lozada posed a direct question to Renner regarding her association with O’Neal. As Lozada asked, “I know you’re looking for a husband but is the husband Shaquille (O’Neal)?” Renner shared, “No. He’s one of the people I’ve always talked to. He’s just a good guy, and that’s just kind of it. There’s really not much to it.“?

Lozada, looking towards Shaunie, said, “I’m not gonna up for you for it but she really don’t care. But it’s just the timing for me.” She was backed by another basketball wife, who said, “I don’t think anybody cares about what anybody does, but there’s also a respect. So it just could have been like, ‘Hey, heads up, this is the scenario.” This led Renner to reply, “Yeah I think I have nothing to hide.”

Despite the 31-year-old’s assured reply, the presence of the Big Aristotle’s ex-wife Shaunie Henderson, sitting across from her, must have caused some unease. The question was raised several months after Brittany’s dining outing with O’Neal surfaced online.

This was discussed on the ‘New Rory and Mal’ podcast, where the host stated, “Shaq, I better not hear you say a f**k** word about Zion Williamson, since you?re a commentator. You f****d a girl that wrote a tell-all book about you. And then now, you?re f*****g a girl that already wrote a tell-all book.” He further advised O’Neal to stay away from authors.
