Tattoos are a great way of expressing yourself. There are several athletes, across the world who carry some of the coolest tattoos on them. From NBA athletes to soccer superstars, some of the biggest names in the world have had ink put on their skin permanently, to tell a story. In the NBA, it is very common to see our stars flaunting their tattoos. One common theme across the league is to have something related to one’s family tattooed on the body. Wade used to refrain from getting anything permanently stamped on his body. However, before his final season in the league, the NBA superstar decided to honor his daughter and got his first tattoo.

In November 2018, he posted a picture of his first tattoo on his shoulders. Wade wrote “#TBT Goes back to that one night in China when i decided to get my daughters name tattooed on me. Kaavia James Union Wade!” in the caption.

This was then followed by a few more tattoos. It seems after his first ink, Wade liked the idea of imprinting something on his body, especially if it meant so much to him. His next was a quote, “My belief is stronger than your doubt” which Wade had tattooed on his left thigh. His second tattoo was soon after his retirement from the league.

His most recent tattoo is a tribute to his wife on her 50th birthday. Wade has her initials inked on his wrist. Gabrielle Union was over the moon after this surprise and said that it was one of the best gifts ever.

Adrian Wojnarowski reported that “The NBA is requiring LaMelo Ball to cover a tattoo below his left ear that the league insists violates rules against exposing commercial logos on players? bodies ? a policy that sources close to Ball contend has been infrequently enforced.” The reason behind such an absurd demand is that LF also happens to be the name of his clothing brand.
