Allen Iverson seems to be behind on one of the latest updates. With March Madness now in full steam, and the recent controversy surrounding his comments on Shaquille O’Neal‘s podcast, Iverson hasn’t had much chance to keep up with one of the most important happening in the league. During his interview with Complex, Iverson shared his opinion on various things. However, he wasn’t prepared for one Kyrie Irving related question the journalist had for him.
It was about Kyrie Irving being named the most skilled basketball player of all time by Milwaukee Bucks star, Damian Lillard. “Kyrie is the most skilled MF ever bruh,” Dame wrote on his X after Irving’s ridiculous game-winner. The host asked AI if he agreed with that analysis. In response, Iverson said, “Damn, you put me on the spot. But shit, if he not the greatest, he’s one of them. Like I’m not gonna dispute that. I love him to death. I love him. I love everything about his game, everything about him, and the person too. I love him to death.”
Allen Iverson further added, “Most skilled? It could be a big argument. I ain’t had no time to think about it and try to process the whole thing.” Irving is an elite shooter with excellent basketball IQ and a top 3 handle. The 8x NBA All-Star’s ball handling has terrorized NBA defenses every season and it’s earned him the respect of his peers too.

NBA stars nod in approval of Damian Lillard’s statement
Lillard took to X to express his excitement just moments after Irving stunned the NBA world. On March 18th, Irving hit a game-winning shot to lead the Dallas Mavericks to a 105-107 win over the Denver Nuggets. His left-handed hook shot against Nikola Jokic is proof of why he is considered one of the best players in the league. Lillard isn’t the only one who thinks so.

One of the NBA legends sharing the sentiment is DeMarcus Cousins. He even placed Irving above Lakers great Kobe Bryant. “I might have to put him over Kob. I have gotta put him over Kobe. “That m******r 5,11 posting them up,” said Cousins during an episode of All The Smoke podcast.
Warriors player, Draymond Green also expressed his approval of Lillard’s statement in his podcast show. He went on to compare Irving’s scoring skills to Kevin Durant’s. “Kyrie Irving is the scorer that everyone thinks of Kevin Durant, ” said the 2017 DPOY.
