After attending Miami Heat‘s Hall of Fame night and finding he’s about to have an 8-foot statue installed in his honor, Dwyane Wade spent time with his family in the city. The 3x NBA champion marked his return to Miami with a fun day alongside his wife, Gabrielle Union, and their manager/daughter, Kaavia James. Five-year-old Kaavia has a lot on her plate with parents, who need regular supervision.
The Bring it On star shared glimpses of their fun family day on Instagram. Wade summarized it as, “A good ole Miami beach day!” Among their shenanigans, Union was nearly swept off in the waves had D-Wade not kept a firm hold on her. She’d reshare the exact moment on her Stories with a hilarious script. “I said ‘Thank you for saving me,’” Union wrote for her line. What was her knight in shining armor’s response: “D: I didn’t save you. I just didn’t let go.” That’s equal parts sweet, cheesy, and funny. She too concluded the narration with, “The choir: BARS.”

There’s larger context in the original post. Kaavia was standing away from the waves and watching her parents ‘wade’ (pun intended) into the water. She hollered, “Mommy don’t fall in the ocean.” And Union did.
The back view of that moment showed the disappointment rolling off Kaavia in spades without that “nvm” edited over her head. Union reshared that moment too with another sitcom-edition script. “Supervisor about to report you to HR.”

Kaavia’s little shoulders indeed bear the burden of minding D-Wade and Gab. But if she’s the supervisor, who’s HR? Zaya perhaps?

Kaavia James Wade Union is the boss
Kaavia could easily come for Adam Silver’s job with her stern manner of handling game regulations. On Christmas, she had to make sure Union didn’t overdo it on the trampoline the family gifted her. Once again she had to curb her parents’ enthusiasm.
After a walk with her dad, she turned lounging on the beach into a game. Her parents had to get her to move out of her spot with tickle attacks. Unfortunately, Wade and Union were strong opponents.

An inch from losing, Commissioner Kaavia saved herself with a last-minute rule. “You did too much. You’re supposed to do a little.” Union retorted, “Imagine us being extra.” We can’t imagine the corny lovebirds toning it down but whatever Kaavia says flies.
