Having Picked Sides to Dispute Michael Jordan?s Legacy, Dennis Rodman Detailed the Strained Off Court Relation Among the Bulls

Dennis Rodman has always been in the spotlight and doesn’t seem to step out of it anytime soon. The Chicago Bulls won three championships in the late 1990s after adding Dennis Rodman to the team. He was an integral piece of their three-peat. But years after his time with the Bulls, Rodman talked about his time in Chicago and how he was with his teammates.

Times were rough for the Worm in the 2000s. Rodman faced several challenges in life and was not in control of himself. After getting his life back together, he started talking about his journey and how his perspective on life had changed.

Dennis Rodman’s relationship with the Bulls legends

In 2011, during the show In Depth with Graham Bensinger, Dennis Rodman was asked about his relationship with his Chicago Bulls teammates. He quoted Scottie Pippen, saying, ‘I have never had a conversation with Dennis in my life”. Graham asked Rodman why he didn’t talk to his teammates.

To this, Rodman replied that he didn’t think it was important. In Rodman’s mind, the only thing that mattered was him winning.

He went on to explain that in three years with the Chicago Bulls, the three of them never had a conversation together. Rodman added that the only time they ever talked was on the court. He revealed that he did talk to some of his other teammates. But no one would usually believe it when Rodman says that he never talked to the main players in the Chicago Bulls.

Since then, things have changed. Rodman revealed in 2020 that he now keeps in touch with both Bulls legends and shares his respect for them. Dennis Rodman believed that not talking to them helped him be more focused. This came years before he was asked to pick the better player among the two.

Dennis Rodman picked the better player among Jordan and Pippen

Rodman revealed in an interview that Michael Jordan couldn’t win by himself. He said, ?I keep saying this; I said thank God Michael Jordan got Scottie Pippen because Michael couldn?t do it himself.”

Rodman was asked about this during his interview on VladTV. Former Bulls teammate John Salley had made a statement that Pippen was the most skilled player he played with and not Michael Jordan. Rodman half-heartedly agreed to it and to the fact that Jordan was not a winner without Scottie Pippen.
