Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen were one of the best duos in NBA history. But the two are not on good terms with each other anymore. The rift between the two happened after the release of ‘The Last Dance‘. Pippen was not a fan of how the show portrayed him and his teammates. A few months ago, Pippen revealed that Michael Jordan was a horrible player to play with.
This was a surprise to hear at the time, as the two had won six championships together. In a recent interview, Scottie Pippen talked about who he would like to have as his teammate.

Scottie Pippen was recently in Australia. He spent some quality time with his former Chicago Bulls teammate, Luc Longley. He was also at the NBL and noticed the growth and potential of the league. During an interview with ESPN, Pippen was asked which player he wanted to play with in today’s NBA.
To this, Pippen replied without hesitating that it was Stephen Curry. Pippen said, “He’s a great shooter, great player. Plays the game the right way. He seems to be a great teammate.“
This is a big contrast to how Pippen described Michael Jordan. Pippen said, “I?ve seen Michael Jordan play before I came to the Bulls. You guys have seen him play. He was horrible to play with.“
He said during the interview that he also believes that Curry could have played back in his era, even though he should have changed his game a little bit for that. He then explained how he would have impacted today’s game. Pippen was a point forward in an era where point forwards were nonexistent.

How good would Pippen be in today’s NBA with Curry?
Pippen could guard one through five and is one of the best defenders in basketball history. So pairing him with Stephen Curry, who could float on the perimeter, would be lethal. Pippen explained during the interview how his play style would have been good with the current fast-paced style of the NBA.
Scottie Pippen then went into detail about how the game has changed over the years. He talked about the lesser role played by coaches. He feels the players are more in control. Since there are more possessions now, the importance of each possession has decreased.
