Anthony Davis had to leave the game against Miami Heat a couple of times because of hip spasms. He still managed to come back and score even if the pain made him curse out in the middle of the game. While some are concerned if he can continue in the season, Robert Horry feels there’s no cause for worry.
Ahead of the next game in Houston, Horry expressed his belief that the Lakers need Davis against the “goons.” And he’s in good shape to do it too, according to what the 7-time NBA champion saw.
“There was one moment at the end of the game, LeBron was walking on the court and AD was chasing him and talking to him. So that let me know there’s nothing to worry about. Nothing to fear that it’s a major injury like last time,” Horry reflected.
His biggest show of optimism comes from The Brow himself who assured fans that he will keep playing. “I’m happy that we know he’s coming back for the next game because those were the words out of his mouth.”

The Lakers have beefed up their frontline with the likes of Jaxson Hayes. However, Horry believes it won’t sustain against the Rockets without AD. And he’s not the only NBA legend putting their money on him.

Big Shot Rob was echoing another Lakers great, James Worthy this time. During the previous game when Davis went back and forth, Worthy was concerned, but not too much.
“He at least came back and he tried,” Worthy told Horry. Worthy referred to when Davis had to step out before halftime and during the third quarter. He found it admirable that Davis would find a way to continue.
In the total 25 minutes that AD played, he managed to score nine points, six rebounds and four assists.
