Charles Barkley believes there are a few cities that love him and a few that hate him. The Philadelphia 76ers icon dived deeper into this rather self-inflicted phenomenon while talking to ESPN’s Stephen. A. Smith. Well, we all know the city that hates him the most: San Antonio. Barkley, more so, he has taken advantage of every possible chance to mock the women of San Antonio and it has never failed to bring out a laugh from Shaquille O’Neal.
Smith thinks this is soon going to turn out bad for the Big Diesel. While speaking about a few cities that hate Barkley, Smith shared, “We all know which city hates you the most right? The damn San Antonio…I think you gonna give Shaq a heart attack one day on the show, every time you bring up those big women in San Antonio man….He might be the first person on the history of television that’s going to die from a heart attack from laughing so damn hard because of the way you get on San Antonio women”

Barkley has teased people in San Antonio on the grounds of obesity time and again. Shaq was never able to control his laughter at those jokes. Looks like Smith is giving the TNT crew a heads-up. On most of the occasions where TNT is covering the games of San Antonio Spurs, Barkley has always recalled the jokes to make his co-hosts laugh. Ernie Johnson tries his best to avoid it, but Barkley can never get over it.

Charles Barkley’s apology to San Antonio women gets the best of Shaquille O’Neal
On one surprising occasion in ‘Inside the NBA’, Barkley issued a sudden apology to the people at San Antonio for teasing them all these years. The 1993 MVP started, “I want to apologize to the women of San Antonio”. Well, you might think that Barkley did not want to make jokes about them anymore. Just hold on. He continued, “I had churros last night”. This unexpected switch from typical Barkley pushed Shaq to pop out of his chair in laughter. The Big Diesel was in denial.
Barkley added, “I see what all the excitement is about. Them damn things are good, Ernie. Them churros are good…Them churros are the bomb!”. The jokes never end. Clearly, now we know why San Antonio hates him!
