Gilbert Arenas Spills Cold Water on Co-Host’s Excitement After Being Confronted With Harsh Reality

Gilbert Arenas set himself up for an embarrassment by conducting a $100,000 shootout today. Famous faces from the basketball world joined this new attempt from the Washington Wizards icon. Arenas had challenged “everyone” for a shootout and he was too confident in himself. Well, he forgot it has been several years since he retired and was a bit too cocky ahead of the shootout. Devastatingly, he lost to his co-host, who decided to troll him on X. 

WNBA’s Los Angeles Sparks guard Lexie Brown joined Arenas’ podcast for the off-season. Brown has been mocked by the 42-year-old on several occasions on his podcast. This was the perfect time for revenge. Arenas secured just 11 points in the shootout, where 3-pointers are 2 points and 2-pointers are just a point. While on the other hand, Lexie Brown secured a massive 32 points. Arenas did not even attempt a three-pointer, while all of Brown’s points were outside the line. She also shared that she had been practicing all week just to get the best of her co-host. Oh, and here comes the tweet, mocking Arenas.

Brown suggested that it’s time to change the name of the NBA veteran’s podcast from ‘Gil’s Arena’ to ‘Lexie’s Arena’ after his embarrassing loss. However, Arenas had a comeback for that as well. The Wizards star replied, “Not if I lock you out”. Looks like we won’t see Brown again on the show! 

 Anyhow, this is not the first time we have witnessed this mockery.

Arenas and his co-host were speaking about getting slammed by their opponents in a dunk face-off. Brown was minding her own business, listening to Arenas’ stories. After a point, Arenas decided to recall a play when WNBA star Brittney Griner dunked on Brown. Although it was not close to getting slammed, it was still a dunk on her. Arenas said, “Britney Griner…she put her nuts on you”.

Brown in disbelief replied, “Her what? Excuse me”. She also clarified that Arenas was exaggerating, and it was rather just a quick dunk from Griner. Brown shared, “It’s not that much elevation cause it’s not such long arms. It’s like real quick”.

We haven’t seen slam dunks in the WNBA yet. However, Arenas’s joke was good enough to bring out laughter from the crew. Looks like Brown had kept all this noted and took her revenge today.
