Any NBA star would appreciate the moving art that is a poster dunk. No matter how shocking it can be. Shaquille O’Neal has a few such dunks in his own career to boast about. The 7’1″ dominant center who has taken down NBA pros with just a ‘nudge’ of his elbow was taken aback by one teen’s aggressive show 0n the hardwood.

A former ESPN analyst who is feuding with Stephen A. Smith is the reason Shaq is picking up his jaw from the floor. A savvy sportscaster appreciates a good cinematic moment in sports. And this amateur caught both his and Big Diesel’s attention.

Shaquille O’Neal shares a jaw-dropping dunk with

Shaq has had some earth-shattering dunks on his opponents. And he’s seen some spectacular dunks in his playing and sportscasting career combined. He still appreciates a movie-worthy “poster dunk” any day. One such move was brought to his attention by a fellow athlete-turned-analyst.

Marcellus Wiley, who chimes in on basketball now and then, shared a Reel on Instagram of a high school basketball game. Captioning the post, “The most disrespectful dunk EVER! Am I right?!” the video showed a teen basketball player go so hard, he not only scored, but he also took down the hoop and shattered the board with it.

The video carried the comment, “Greatest poster dunk of all time.” Shaq shared the retired NFL star’s post on his Instagram Stories with additional commentary like the eloquent analyst he is. “Daaammm.” Enough said.

These two athletic stars weren’t the only ones left stunned by an amateur athlete’s stunt. Many indeed agreed that this was indeed a “disrespectful” dunk. One that reminded them of Big Diesel in his prime.

At 7’1″ and weighing over 300lbs, O’Neal was regarded as the most dominant center in the NBA. He was pretty good at using his body to his advantage on the court. In fact, Shaq’s back-board-breaking antics led the league to enforcing sturdier posts for their rims.

Shaq’s fans throw it back to ’99

The high school student’s video reminded fans of Los Angeles Lakers Big Aristotle, specifically that game in 1999 when he gave one New York Knicks star a hard time.

The Knicks decided a different strategy that didn’t involve double-teaming Shaq. He apparently found that so disrespectful, he took it out on Chris Dudley. O’Neal shoved Dudley and dunked over him to score. But he also sent his opponent tumbling into the crowd.

Dudley was in turn mad enough to throw the ball at Shaq who was casually walking away. Both got technicals for that display.
