According to the reports, the NBA’s board of governors approved the deal of the new ownership with a vote of 29-1. Schnall and Plotkin will alternate their roles as the governor of the Hornets regarding every legal issue. Prior to the massive deal, Plotkin has been a minority stake owner in the Hornets. Moreover, Schnall’s contribution can also be expected to be significant for his experience as a minority stake owner in the Atlanta Hawks.
Speaking about the team’s future, Schnall said, “I have watched all 30 teams. I know all the 30 owners, we have the chance to do something special. We are different”
Targeting the previous owner, Plotkin said, “This is our team. We have a single, simple goal, which is to create the premier franchise in the NBA.”
Well, while his Airness has indeed done great things for the team, many people and fans have called out the legend’s failure as an owner.
