Carmelo Anthony’s response to the Jay-Z question
Over the years common people as well as celebrities have been intrigued by the question. When R&B musician Ray J was asked about his choice, he said that forming a relationship with someone like Jay-Z is far more valuable and that he would rather have dinner with him. Whereas when the man himself was asked about what he thinks the choice should be. Hov said that everything he knows about the world, he has put that in his music, so you can simply buy his albums to get informed. So when the same question was posed to the 10x NBA All-Star, he echoed Jay-Z’s thoughts.

Melo was asked, “$500k or lunch with Hov? F**kin’ with it or F**k outta here?” Initially, he flexed by checking his phone, hinting that Jay-Z was calling him. As the two have been long-time friends, and have featured on magazine covers together, the not-so-subtle flex is justified. However, to answer the question, he said “I would take the $500k”. He admitted that he has the privilege so he can talk to Hov whenever he wants to. As for other people, he said that people should go for the $500k because that’s a lot of money and can be of great use.
Even with the answer leaning toward the $500k, the bigger point is what makes this a valid question?
