A few months ago, former Celtics player Eddie House sat down for an interview on the podcast Celtics Beat. Amongst the various things discussed, a topic was raised about the time when House was traded to the New York Knicks after spending three seasons with Boston. The NBA Champion said that he had no idea that he was getting traded until he pulled up for a practice session. After his teammates told him the news, which was later confirmed to him by team coach Doc Rivers, House wasn?t in a good mood.

?I was pissed. I was destroyed,? said House when describing his feelings at that moment. Apart from leaving and uprooting his life, he had to bid adieu to ?a championship team, a winning team,? in exchange for ?guys that just wanted to get the season over with.? No wonder he didn?t stay even five months before shifting to the Miami Heat.

The Celtics were able to reach the finals that season but lost to the Los Angeles Lakers. Touching upon this particular subject, the 45-year-old former player made his opinion clear.

?Quite frankly, I feel like if Perk (Kendrick Perkins) doesn?t get hurt and if I was there, I feel like we still win that championship,? said Eddie House, ?I definitely would have been able to make some shots that other guys didn?t hit.?
