Former Sacramento Kings icon Jason Williams made a controversial choice by not adding Kobe Bryant to his top-5 All-time Lakers list. It has been more than a year since Williams made this statement. However, fans do not seem to agree with him whatsoever. The White Chocolate did not want to change his opinion, even though he faced a lot of heat from the netizens. Well, he has reaffirmed his take once again in an interesting podcast episode on YouTube.
Jason Williams shared, “I’ve had my takes on Kobe Bryant before and a lot of people didn’t like what I said, but I stand by what I said. I think a lot of people took it the wrong way like I’m disrespecting Kobe. And I’m not backtracking on none of my statements.
He reaffirmed, “Kobe Bryant is one of the best, if not the best to some people, basketball player this world has ever seen, but just to me, my opinion, he’s not there…There are other people better at basketball than Kobe was.” Clearly, Williams does not want to change his decision.

Williams shared, “It’s kind of like, if I said D-Wade was better than LeBron [James]. LeBron is a better basketball player than Dwyane Wade, but when you think about the Miami Heat, who do you think of?”. Williams is intimating that James was a better player than Wade.
However, when it comes to the Miami Heat, Wade is the icon of the franchise. LeBron James is indeed famous there, but Williams believes the fans remember Wade more than the King. That’s an interesting observation from Williams, but do you agree with it?
