Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant didn’t impress Miss Kaavia James Union-Wade enough. To Kaavia, no one is better than the 3x NBA champion, 2006 Finals MVP, and 13x All-Star who gets her the best Christmas presents. Gabrielle Union shared her five-year-old daughter’s final decision on who is “the top shooting guard of all time.” Apologies to all the Mike and Kobe fans, because of course, it’s Dwyane Wade.

In a dramatic podcast preview fashion, Union asked Kaavia the question. Despite her young friend, Crosby Sparrow Easterling, whispering Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant’s names to her, Kaavia was resolute. “It’s my dad,” she stated while clinging to her custom ‘Kaavia’ flask. Crosby is the son of Union’s colleague and longtime friend, Nicole Lyn and Chad Easterling. The highlight also was when she shot her friend the ‘did I ask’ glare.

Union captioned the post, “Family Over Everything. You want Christmas, right?? @espn #NewPodcastAlert #LoveAndBasketball.” While the first part of the caption applies accurately, Union has not relayed any plans for a podcast. Nor is it related to Wade’s The Why podcast. That didn’t stop her from using a scandalous podcast opening. “Welcome to my podcast. Today’s topic…” the Reel began.

Kaavia did earn every bit of “Christmas.” She received her very own trampoline at Christmas from her parents a month after her dad dressed as a King to escort her at her princess-themed birthday party. Union though had to be kept in check from using her trampoline wrong.

The “Top Shooting Guard of All Time” is now an Oscar-nominated artist as his 2023 documentary, The Barber of Little Rock, is in the running for the Academy Award in the Best Documentary Short. The family didn’t have much of a reaction to the news. Zaya Wade was indifferent to her dad’s accomplishment till she realized all her friends were talking about it.

Kaavia is still their reigning “Shady Baby.” A few days before declaring her dad is better than His Airness, she was aghast Crosby lost two teeth while she only lost one. She however evened the score by pulling out another loose tooth. Sometimes Kaavia’s and Crosby’s Hollywood leading lady moms aren’t spared too. Kaavia Wade had some very strong notes for Gabrielle Union and Nicole Lyn’s dance skills recently too.
