Like Draymond Green got ejected during his match against the Phoenix Suns, the 2x league MVP Nikola Jokic was also tossed out of his game against the Chicago Bulls. But, to put it simply, the contrast between the two ejections is mind-blowing. While Green was ejected from his game for hitting his opponent in the face, Jokic was ejected for complaining to the referees for not receiving a foul call.

When Jokic expressed how different players are treated differently by the officials, Phoenix Suns legend Eddie Johnson doubled down on the comments of the NBA champion.

After the match, Jokic was asked what he thought of the ejection. He revealed that some players (like Draymond Green) get away with it even while arguing with referees right in their faces, but Jokic was ejected for a momentary expression of dissatisfaction while running back on defense.

Suns legend Eddie Johnson is not at all happy with how the NBA is currently being officiated. While Green definitely deserved his ejection, Johnson completely disagrees with the ejection of Nikola Jokic.

Johnson wrote on Twitter, “I totally agree with Jokic. Draymond constantly is in the face of officials and they allow him to stay, but he gets kicked after one tech.

While Jokic does not even believe that his actions warranted a technical, it was still surprising to see him get ejected from a game just because he argued with a referee while running down the court.

Even though the match was played in Chicago, the Bulls commentators also expressed their dissatisfaction with the ejection of Nikola Jokic. They called it ‘excessive’, as the referee did not have to throw out one of the best players in the league for such small actions.

This is not the first time an opposition commentator has defended Jokic’s ejection. While the referees often try their best to prevent any avoidable situations from arising on the court, ejecting players like Jokic for such minute actions deprives the fans of the entertainment that they paid to see.
