The culture of fan mail has faded away as the world has progressed digitally, with comment sections and digital forums, but fan mail certainly carries a few interesting stories from its era. There is one person, an NBA star who wants to run back time for the era of fan mail. That too for a simple request made to him by a fan.

Recently a fan of Isaiah Thomas sent him a picture of an old SLAM magazine cover. The fan said that he wished he had this copy signed by the ex-NBA star. This sparked an idea inside Thomas’s brain which he would act upon.

Isaiah Thomas’s commitment to fan’s wish

A fan reached out to Thomas on X. He posted, “@isaiahthomas this slam magazine aged like fine wine. Huge fan and have been missing the 4th quarter IT days. Would love to get this signed!” When the post reached the 34-year-old, he said, “We gotta make it happen. Ima get a PO Box address next week so I can sign fan mail. Appreciate the love.” This can be big news for all Isaiah Thomas fans who wish to get something signed by the ex-NBA star or want to send him an appreciation letter.

While he gets his team to work on a PO Box, Thomas has been eyeing an NBA comeback. He has spoken about it on many occasions and is very sure that he’ll be able to do it. During an interview in December last year, he said, “I’m still trying to play the game of basketball. I want to get back to the NBA. So, I’m still working out and staying ready.” Thomas last represented an NBA franchise in 2022 when he was with the Charlotte Hornets.

After 2020 he had a very rocky experience in the league and has been with 4 different teams in such a short span of time. Despite that, he is sure about his comeback strictly based on his talent and the work that he continues to put in. After the NBA dream, his next major goal is to be a coach for the Washington team.

In a Forbes interview he said, “At some point, I want to be the head coach at the University of Washington. Within the next five to ten years, that would be ideal. I want to try to take the program to the heights that Coach Romar took it to.” The ex-NBA star has a lot on his plate. But the thing that his fans would want the most from him might be an NBA comeback.
