The odds for the Golden State Warriors are looking rather dicey after they lost the latest game 116-119. Injuries and ejections are threatening their main players. Stephen Curry‘s diehard fan, Kendrick Perkins, is so frustrated with the state of the team that he’s kickstarted a campaign to get The Chef what he deserves.
“Free Steph Curry!!! He don’t deserve this. Real Talk,” the former NBA pro posted on X. Perk shared it when the match got ugly between the two teams.
Things got heated during the Warriors and Suns game on Tuesday night. The cause was once again Draymond Green. Phoenix Suns’ Jusuf Nurkic was guarding Green when the Warriors star spun and hit Nurkic in the face. It resulted in Green getting ejected for a flagrant 2 foul.

Stephen Curry led the team in points with 24 in 32 minutes along with 4 assists and 5 rebounds. Green put twos on his individual stat sheet in the 17 minutes he played.

Several analysts predict that Green might be looking at another suspension shortly after his return. He served a five-game suspension for putting Rudy Gobert in a headlock last time he played the Wolves. Perkins was critical of Green’s actions and demanded a harsher punishment. This time he’s not focused on Green but on Curry.

Perkins’ love for the Chef has been on and off. He has full faith in his shooting skills and lauds him as a starter. He’s however, got very little faith in the Warriors’ future given the current lineup. A month ago, he was even advocating that Klay Thompson and the Warriors should split.

Kendrick Perkins won’t bet on Steph Curry factor
As much as he admires Curry’s talent, Perkins doesn’t think it’s enough to earn the Warriors a trip to the finals. Before the season began, he gave them a “1% chance” of making the NBA finals.
It may just be the case. During their roller-coaster season, the Dubs have lost six straight road games counting Tuesday. The chances of Curry winning a ring this season get slimmer with every strike Dray collects.

Dub Nation has been commenting that DrayMagic has to be better at supporting Curry instead of leaving him to carry the team. Some in DubNation have even suggested under Perkins’ post that maybe the Boston Celtics champion should suit up for the Warriors and replace Green. What do you think? Would a Perk-Curry pick-and-roll elevate the Golden State Warriors?
