Taking a break from his TNT analyst position, NBA Legend Shaquille O’Neal is busy pursuing his music career. Going by his DJ Diesel persona, the former Los Angeles Lakers star has been seen around the world performing at various music festivals. Shaq, however, has not been alone on this journey. Accompanied by his stepson Myles O’Neal, the two have taken their act on the road and attained much success. Myles’s mother, Shaunie, recently took to social media to share how proud she was of her son.

Myles gained prominence in the music industry after releasing his first song, ‘Superficial’, earlier this year. The young star is expected to release his next song on August 15th. Till then, it’s all about the music tour with Shaq.

After their remarkable performance at the UFC 290 afterparty in Vegas, Shaquille O’Neal and Myles landed in Mykonos, Greece. The duo performed as lead artists at ‘Saint Anna’s big party’, much to the enthusiasm of the crowd who came to see the duo perform.

Sharing the highlights of his trip on Instagram, Myles captioned the post “Mykonos was a movie! Ill be back!” The energy of the audience as Myles stood on the podium and jammed to the music was clearly visible to all.

Myles’ mother and Shaq’s ex-wife, Shaunie Henderson, took to Instagram to share her son’s amazing moment with her 1.7 Million followers. Featuring the post on her story, Shaunie captioned it “My son is a ROCKSTAR” and tagged Myles in it. Shaq himself took to the comments section of the post and wrote “O’NEAL BOYZ!!!!”

As the duo has been traveling around Europe, fans have gotten glimpses of the heartwarming bonding moments that the father-son have shared with each other. While Shaquille O’Neal and his stepson seem to be inseparable, that wasn’t the case at the beginning of their relationship.

Myles discussed forming a bond with his step-father during an interview

Almost three months ago, Myles sat down for an interview with IEDM. Talking about the beginnings of his music career, Myles discussed how DJ Diesel had a huge impact on the type of music for which the young musician would develop a taste.

Myles talked about how he chose not to follow in his stepfather’s footsteps and play basketball like his siblings, Shareef and Me’arah. Due to this, it was hard for him to find something that could be used to bond with his father. Once Shaq Diesel started pursuing his DJ Career, however, things quickly changed.

“I would go on tour with him and music really brought us way closer together,” said Myles during the interview. “Our music fuses us together, which makes me appreciate what I do that much more.”
