For many players, winning a championship is the ultimate goal. While a ring depends on several factors like team success and matchups, there’s one accolade that recognizes the individual greatness of an NBA player throughout their career. With only 436 former athletes having received this distinction, only the best of the best are chosen to be encased in the prestigious Hall of Fame. Dwyane Wade is surely excited to join the iconic ranks alongside Kobe Bryant’s “brother” Pau Gasol.
The 2023 Hall of Fame ceremony will commence in the next few hours. Let’s have one last look at the class of 2023!

The official Instagram handle of the NBA recently uploaded a post. It featured four members of the HOF Class of 2023 receiving their Naismith Orange Jackets. It’s almost like the uniform for the ceremony. Adorning the same color as that of a basketball, the organizers have presented the orange jackets since 2016. Prior to that, blue jackets were the norm.
The first clip in the post started off with Dallas Mavericks legend Dirk Nowitzki being the first person in the class of 2023 to receive his orange jacket. Members from the audience, including Nowitzki?s teammate from his 2011 championship team Jason Kidd, were in attendance. All of them broke into applause as the 14x NBA All-Star adorned the honorary apparel.

The second clip featured two people standing in the background as Miami Heat star Dwyane Wade took his position on the stage. Wade?s former teammate Chris Bosh broke into a smile upon seeing his old comrade receiving his flowers. A few weeks ago, Wade made the headlines after he snubbed Bosh as his presenter and chose former Philadelphia 76ers shooting guard Allen Iverson.
Removing his own white jacket, the three-time NBA champion adorned the orange one as his wife and daughter looked on.

Pau Gasol, who was feeling the absence of his best friend and ?brother?, the late Kobe Bryant, was next in line. In attendance was his actual brother and former Memphis Grizzles player Marc Gasol. Vanessa Bryant was also in attendance and she featured the iconic moment on her Instagram story.
The last individual to be introduced was former San Antonio Spurs point guard Tony Parker. Prior to the ceremony, he had made headlines for hosting a lavish pool party. Him and the Spurs Big Three will be on stage shortly. It’s a historic day for the franchise as all three franchise cornerstones will be Hall of Famers.
Not just that, their coach Gregg Popovich will also be enshrined tonight. The last slide of the post showed Coach Pop wearing his jacket alongside his granddaughter.
