Michael Jordan and Charles Barkley, despite their rivalry on the court, once shared a friendship that many envied. Though we don’t get to see it these days, fans have been loyal enough to look back in time to enjoy the legends’ banter. One such moment occurred during the the famous interview of Jordan and Barkley by Oprah Winfrey in 2005. Hilariously, during a segment of the show, Chuck shared his fear of motorcycles.

Well, the Chicago Bulls legend decided to take complete advantage of it. Yet again pin-pointing Barkley’s failure to win a championship, Jordan was all over the Phoenix Suns legend as the crowd cheered him on.?

Charles Barkley made a mistake by sharing his hate for motorcycles. The 1993 MVP was indeed fearless on the court, however, when it came to riding motorcycles, things were a lot different. Sir Charles shared, “I’m glad you brought up the motorcycle thing, cause I hate that, I want you to know that.“

On the other hand, Michael Jordan is an ardent fan of riding motorcycles. Oprah questioned Barkley, “Has he [Jordan] gotten you on a motorcycle?” Barkley hilariously responded, “Hell no!”

Mocking Barkley’s huge physical appearance, Jordan chimed in, “But I’m sorry, the seat is not big enough.” Well, this was just the start!? Chuck continued to rant about his hate for motorcycles. He even mentioned it scares him to death as it’s not safe. Jordan couldn’t bear it anymore.

The 5-time MVP started with a PSA, “I disagree… When you ride a motorcycle, you have to be a defensive rider… You don’t have time to talk on the phone, you don’t have time to eat… most people do every single day… You have to be really focused on seeing the traffic ahead.”

Quickly shifting his attention towards Barkley, Jordan added,?”He[Barkley] didn’t know about this, he has never read them outside.?He will never understand what it takes to be a winner.“

That was pretty mean, but it’s all fair considering Jordan’s love for motorcycles.

It’s a known fact that Michael Jordan has a love for racing. According to reports, the 6-time NBA champion rode dirt bikes back in North Carolina before he entered the league.

However, due to safety reasons,?His Airness was not allowed to ride it once he joined the league. Yet, nothing could stop him from getting back on the two-wheeler after his retirement in 2003.?

Reports also revealed that Jordan rode motorcycles in the streets of Chicago which eventually caught the attention of motorcyclists who wanted to accompany him. He even tried his shot at MotoGP, but decided to shift his attention towards NASCAR.?
