Dwyane Wade’s Wife Gabrielle Union Learns From Husband’s $2.12 Billion Brand Mistake

“It’s Versace not Versachee,” Donatella Versace once said. But people have been saying it wrong for years and hence, Gabrielle Union too didn’t know the correct pronunciation until Dwyane Wade told her. In an Instagram post, she revealed how she got to know about the right pronunciation of a $2.12 billion brand. While Wade embarrassed himself with the wrong pronunciation before, he did not let that happen with his wife Union.

In the post, Union flaunted the stylish glasses from Wade’s Versace campaign. In an urge to reiterate the correct pronunciation, the actress mentioned, “Someone told me it’s Versace not Versachee… 😘So proud of you @dwyanewade, thank you @donatella_versace.”

While Union’s pictures having donned the unique glasses are truly mesmerizing, her witty and stylish caption has stolen the spotlight.

While she cleverly kept the source of her knowledge a mystery, it didn’t take much to guess that she had picked up the correct pronunciation from her husband, who had previously admitted to learning it during his collaboration with the iconic brand.

Dwyane Wade teaches how to pronounce Versace in style

The Miami Heat legend recently sat with Jimmy Fallon for an interview. During the conversation, the champ spoke about his new podcast as well as his latest eyewear campaign with the fashion giant, Versace. As Fallon enthusiastically delved into the details of the campaign, he ended up mispronouncing the fashion brand’s name, like most of us do.

Wade, however, quickly stepped in, explaining that it was “Versa’chay‘,” not “Versacheee.” The 42-year-old explained that he had experienced the same thing and learned about the right pronunciation during his shoot for the eyewear campaign. “I’m like “Versachee” And they start whispering behind the camera and they had my stylist come up to me and was like “It’s Versachay,” said Wade.
