Dwight Howard will be signing a new contract. The ex-NBA star is doing everything in his power to keep his NBA hopes alive. Howard has previously stated that he wants to make a comeback to the league. As of now, he is set to sign a new deal with the Philippines-based Strong Group.
With this, Howard will be committing to play in the upcoming Dubai International Championship with the Strong Group. This upcoming mini tournament is going to begin on January 19th and will run through January 28th, 2024. While there are some who are feeling happy for Howard, the other side isn’t very fond of his move.
Howard has been out of the league since 2022, then the following season, he played for the Taoyuan Leopards. It seems like the 8x NBA All-Star is willing to elevate the levels while continuing to stay in the news. After all, this will help him secure a position in the NBA. The 38-year-old has said that he wishes to come back to the league and play basketball at the highest level.
