The Golden State Warriors have been struggling. Although there are many reasons for the team not playing well, Draymond Green‘s suspension is one of the biggest. Although Green is facing his troubles, Stephen Curry was also under scrutiny by the media for not having the leadership to guide his team.
After getting suspended on December 14th, Draymond Green recently addressed his fans. Although Green has issued an apology towards Curry, a former Houston Rockets star believes that Curry has now figured out he needs Green to succeed.

“I think he (Stephen Curry) is definitely annoyed. I think he understands now more than ever that he needs Draymond Green on the court. Being mad at him, having this resentment towards him—I think is a normal feeling as a teammate, as a player. He let them down at the end of the day,” said Chandler Parsons in a recent episode of Run It Back.
The NBA recently reinstated Green after being suspended for 12 games. But it is assumed that Green would take another week to get himself ready to get back to the team.
During his absence, the Warriors have fallen further down the standings. Along with this, the media has not stayed silent. Stephen A. Smith recently called out Stephen Curry and said that Darmond Green’s uncontrollable antics on the court are a result of Stephen Curry’s lack of leadership. During a recent episode of The Draymond Green Show, Green issued an apology to Stephen Curry.
Draymond Green is essential for the Warriors
The Warriors need Draymond Green more than ever before. Chris Paul recently underwent surgery and is expected to miss the next 4 to 6 weeks. This will bring more focus to Stephen Curry. Green would be a good addition to the team, as he can relieve Curry’s ball-handling duties a little.

Green being away from the team has helped them understand what they are lacking while also figuring out new areas the team is good at. It gave more opportunities for other players to show their potential.
As Jonathan Kuminga has also shown improvement in Green’s absence, it would be interesting to know how Steve Kerr decides to proceed once Green is ready to return to the lineup.
