While he may be among the most dominant players ever, it is not the basketball brilliance that people remember him by. Instead, exceptional comedic timing paired with a penchant for hilarity makes Shaquille O’Neal a fan favorite. So, a hilarious video with an old friend was always going to bring out some laughs from the masses. But, this is someone that Shaq has a strong connection with. After all, he’s been a partner with the Los Angeles Lakers legend ever since he stepped onto the big screens.

Some 29 years after their first film together, the duo, quite evidently, is still going strong.

Imagine playing basketball at your YMCA with Denzel Washington, Wesley Snipes and Arsenio Hall. Now imagine doing that and acting in a film with the?Big Diesel?and 50 Cent. Such is the resume of Anthony C. Hall. While he has many associations, Shaq truly calls only a few people his friend. But, among them, Anthony is usually high up on the light. Even though their first collaboration came almost 29 years ago, the two are still extremely close.

As a result, the video of the Miami Heat champion became even more hilarious. Taking to his 32,000,000 followers on Instagram, the 7-footer posted something with a statutory warning. Along with him, was his old Chicago pal and former co-star.

Wearing a ring with a strong electric current, Shaquille O’Neal gave his friend a light tap on the b*tt. Exclaiming at the shock, the writer was in, um, shock?at the effects. Running to the other side of the room, the camera cut to a grinning Shaq sharing a laugh over his friend’s misery.

Ever the responsible citizen, the former MVP had a warning on the post. “@anthonyhall_chicago got a quick ten geez. DO NOT TRY THIS. Very dangerous.

While it’s nice to see the big man take responsibility, no one would be as crazy or funny as these two friends to take up such an endeavor.

But, their friendship isn’t a quick one. Instead, it has been going strong for nearly 3 decades now. And, it began on the sets of Shaq’s first foray into Hollywood.

While clearly marketable, it didn’t take long for O’Neal to step into the limelight. Even though he’s a genuine household name today, his first run in the mainstream media was with Anthony Hall. Involved in the project was popular rapper 50 Cent.

Their latest collaboration might not have panned out but the first one was a pretty remarkable success.

Before?Space Jam?starring Michael Jordan became a thing, the first proper basketball movie featured Diesel. Titled?Blue Chips,?the movie focused on the sad, political landscape of college basketball.

While not a full-fledged blockbuster, the movie did solid numbers, amassing $26.7 million worldwide. At that point, no one knew the international sensation that the 251-pounder would become. But, it wasn’t just the monetary success that Shaq found from the project.
