It’s safe to say DJ Khaled might be one of the truest Air Jordan fans out there. The famous American music artist has often brought out his hilarious side on the internet and he was back at it again, but this time featuring Michael Jordan‘s famous shoe brand. There are a few unwritten rules you follow when you wear a Jumpman. Well, only the Jordan buffs know it. A viral video of DJ Khaled speaking about one of the rules before his live concert caught the attention of the internet.
The 48-year-old was about to leave his car but suddenly hit the pause button after he remembered he was wearing Jordans. DJ Khaled did not want to place his shoes on the hot sand. Instead, he asked two of his security guards to carry him to a mini truck. Khaled said, “I don’t wanna get my Jordans dirty… Can’t mess up with the J’s… We feeling nice”. The guards helped him all the way to the stage as Khaled successfully managed to keep his Jordans clean.

DJ Khaled ranks his collaboration with the Jordan brand as the best in history
The famous music star named the Kicks with Jordans after his famous record label, “We the Best”, which he has used in all of his songs from 2008. ‘We the Best’ Jordan 5 was released on a Cyber Monday in 2002 and made quite some noise in the markets. The sneakers were released in two colorways, ‘Crimson Bliss’ and ‘Sail’. As per reports, this was the largest launch of any collaborator in the history of the Jordan brand.
DJ Khaled shared, “The ‘We the Best’ Jordan 5s were the biggest release, number-wise, in Jordan collaboration history…We’re talking numbers. When I put these out, I wanted to make sure that we get it as a worldwide thing.” Not only did Khaled achieve this collaboration, but also made this a global sensation with great sales.
