Carmelo Anthony on retirement and finding solace in 1 cure
In an interview with GQ Magazine, the ?walking bucket? was asked by the interviewer, ?You expressed that it took a minute to come to peace with retiring from the NBA in May after 19 seasons. How did you find that peace? What was the process??
Melo replies, ?A mindset [laughs]. You had to tap into a different level of understanding and searching and figure out what is the common denominator in all of this. It took me a while. It took me being away from the game for 15 months to understand what this feels like. I know what it feels like to do it, be a part of that journey.?
He further explains, ?Now I?m cool, I?m at peace, I did it at the highest level, I had multiple roles throughout my career so I can relate to everybody?from the end of the bench all the way to the star player.?

Melo explains the similarity between the two brands, He explains, ?It was more of both brands having a similar message, but saying it differently in their own field. With me, STAYME7O is ?Mindset is everything,? That?s just my way of life and doing business and [within] the community. And it?s the same thing with 1800??Taste is everything.? So it?s like we?re saying the same thing just in different arenas.?
Carmelo Anthony is a certified Knicks legend, who revived the city?s basketball culture in the early 2010?s. It won?t be long before the New York Knicks retire the NBA legend?s Knicks jersey in the Madison Square Garden arena.
