In a recent ?Big Shot Bob Podcast?, seven-time NBA champion Robert Horry talks about Wembanyama?s current NBA potential. Amid the co-hosts playing a ?Fill in the blanks? game, one co-host asks Robert Horry, ?Can you fill in the blank? Wembanyama is better than prime _____.? Robert Horry then pauses for a second. He then laughs before replying, ?Robert Horry.?

?

The co-host then asks Robert Horry if he actually thinks that Wembanyama is better than prime Robert Horry and then the 7x NBA champion says that he does.

However, Robert Horry also states that it is still too early to make such an assumption. Horry claims that Wembanyama?s ?sample size? is still too small, since the young player is just beginning his career. Considering that the San Antonio Spurs are struggling to convert their wins, despite Wembanyama giving it his best, also raises some important questions.

After making his NBA debut around 3 weeks ago against the Dallas Mavericks, Wembanyama managed to score an impressive 15 points with 5 rebounds, 2 steals, and 2 assists. He was able to do this with limited playing time since he was dealing with ?foul trouble? early in the game. However, the San Antonio Spurs ended up losing to the Mavericks 126-119. And this has been the story for the Spurs so far in the season.

Despite Wembanyama?s consistently good NBA performances, the Spurs are not able to clinch their wins. This is a big problem for the Spurs and Wembanyama?s basketball legacy, since NBA legends are defined by their team?s success more than their individual achievements.
