Carmelo Anthony is all set to kick off his new talk show with famous American writer and comedian Kid Mero. After amassing a career full of accolades, Anthony ventured out into the world of business. The former NBA player is gradually dipping his toes into unfamiliar territory. However, it’s safe to affirm that he is navigating this unexplored domain with deliberate attention, steadily carving a path toward success.
Navigating through his route to hard work, triumph, and more, the NBA legend isn’t scared to take a different path. Recently, in an interview, the 10 x NBA All-Star revealed his excitement and opinion on the talk show. Despite having a huge business empire, the New York Knicks legend has decided to start a talk show for one reason.
“It’s a different vibe, right? Yes, it’s a sports talk show, but it’s more of a cultural show.” He added, “This is more of us kind of giving people their due diligence, their flowers, paying respect, paying homage,” Anthony told The New York Times. Melo and Mero will be working on a weekly series titled ‘7 PM in Brooklyn’.

During the same interview, he was asked about his opinion on other sports shows. He added how the current sports shows need more creativity. He said, “It’s not things that bother me. It’s just things that I may see: “Oh, this. Oh, that could be better,” or “they can add this,” or “they can add that.”
He continued, “So it’s more thinking creatively.” The 39-year-old has dipped his feet in the entertainment industry before. In 2021, the 3x Olympics Gold medal winner launched an inclusive global content company, Creative 7. It was named after his jersey number during his stint with the Knicks from 2011 to 2017. Nevertheless, he will be hoping to launch a successful series with Kid Mero.
