Phil Jackson is one of the most successful men in the world of basketball. He won two titles with the New York Knicks in 1970 and 1973 and found immense success as a coach. He won six championship titles as a coach of the Chicago Bulls and won five more with the Los Angeles Lakers.
In total, he’s won 13 NBA titles with three of the most valuable franchises in the league. Nothing to sneeze at.
Phil Jackson said, “Michael Jordan used to let me bring five guys, celebrities, to watch the game at night. He kicking some a**, playing pretty hard.”
He reminisced of a time when he came across a producer on the beach who made it clear that he is a Jordan fanboy having seen his skills firsthand. Even in his later years when Jordan lost some of his physicality, he was still a force to be reckoned with. A testament to how high his basketball IQ was.

Phil Jackson opened up on his relationship with the NBA Hall of Famer Michael Jordan.
The 3-time Champion said, ” I think it?s those little interactions. I don?t think it?s sitting down. There?s once the preseason, postseason, mid-season, you know where you?re sitting down, how?s it going once again? But it?s those moments that you have inside of the activity that?s going on that brings the moment when you can touch that thing.”
Phil made it clear that he used to communicate properly with Jordan in order to maximize his relationship with the ten-time scoring champion. It’s rather inspiring to see two major personalities work so well together over so many years.
