When the conversation about the greatest duos of all time comes up, there are some usual suspects. However, at the top of most lists stands two names above the rest. While others have a case, the duo from Chicago consisting of arguably the greatest player of all time in Michael Jordan remains at the top of rankings worldwide. Winning six championships together and never losing three games in a row during the entire 1990s, the two were a cut above the rest.

Now, a rival, a friend, and a teammate, all combined in one person, has officially given them the title.

When the Chicago Bulls dynasty came to be due to a lot of reasons, an underrated one is Dennis Rodman. Even though his scoring was non-existent, his rebounding and defense made him an integral part of the lineup. I mean, you have to be valuable for Michael Jordan to chase you around Las Vegas.

Such was his gravity as a defender, and panache at rebounding, that wherever the?Worm?went, winning followed. Over his illustrious career that included seven rebounding titles, Rodman also accumulated five NBA championships.

As a result, his opinion on all things basketball certainly holds weight. That he played with some of the best teams of all time, including the Bad Boy Detroit Pistons, and San Antonio Spurs, in addition to the mentioned Bulls, makes his opinion mean that much more.

So, when Dennis The Menace makes his pick for the greatest duo of all time, you listen. Adamant in the clip, the legend iterated multiple times over how the pair from Chicago is the greatest duo of all time. “The greatest duos in the world. The greatest duo ever.”

For ages, however, Rodman was public enemy number one in Chicago lines.

At the peak of their power, the Chicago Bulls were as famous as any band in America. However, Dennis wasn’t always singing this tune. Instead, the 5-time Champion was on the opposite side of the legendary duo in hellacious Eastern Conference matchups.

A member of the Bad Boy Pistons,?Menace?did exactly what his namesake suggests. On the court, he was a complete irritant. A hounding defender, hustler, and tenacious rebounder, he gave the Pistons an edge. Unfortunately, his future teammate, caught the brunt of that, in one messy exchange.

En route to their first NBA championship, the Chicago Bulls won once again in a battle with the Detroit Pistons. The last two encounters between the teams had seen the Pistons prevail. However, the third time seemed to be the charm. Finally, Chicago was going to the NBA Finals.

However, the series took a heavy toll on Scottie Pippen. Most notable of the bruises came as a direct result of Dennis. A hard foul led to six stitches for the 6’8 forward. It’s all rosy now, and Rodman has become one of Scottie’s biggest supporters.
