Despite Favoring Older Women, Shaquille O’Neal Shows Utter Faith in 24YO Son’s Dating Choice

If there’s one thing we know about Shaq the dad, it’s that he’s pretty strict about his kids’ dating life. Even though some of his kids have deviated from his dating rules, the 4x NBA champion stays involved. So Shaquille O’Neal has moments of making overly confident claims about one or all of his kids’ romantic escapades. After raising a few brows with his prediction about his youngest son’s future, he completely shut down a scenario about his other kid on The Big Podcast.

Stating the examples of Jalen Green’s current relationship and Marcus Jordan’s relationship with Larsa Pippen, Adam Lefkoe asked Shaq what he’d do if it was Shareef. “If Shareef came to you and said, ‘I want you to meet my girlfriend and she’s 41 years old…'” Before Lefkoe completed that question, Shaq curtly asserted, “He won’t.” That ended the conversation before it could even begin.

Even though this week’s guest, Bert Kreischer tried to joke a bit, Shaq wasn’t getting into it. He turned it on the comedian instead and questioned him about his comedy.

Before that question, Shaq admitted age is not a factor in his relationships. He has dated women both older and younger than him during his colorful dating history but he envisions something different for his kids.

24-year-old Shareef has been linked to a few famous names in recent years. He doesn’t seem to be in a relationship currently. But Shaq’s got his eye on his kids’ love lives. Too bad they’re smarter.

Shaq and his kids differ in their opinions

Previously on The Big Podcast, the dad of six very boldly said his “mini-me” Shaqir will be the first one to give him grandkids. He preemptively told Shaqir too that when that time comes he should tell Shaq before his mom, Shaunie. He, however, was adamant there won’t be any grandkids from his girls any time soon. In fact, last year Big Diesel claimed to scare off his daughters’ suitors. The eldest of the O’Neal brigade, Taahirah dismantled Shaq’s protective dad rep.

After confirming on the Do I know You podcast that she is, in fact, seeing someone, Taahirah stated, “My dad…hilarious because he has been in the press talking about we can’t date until we are 35…me and my sister, we were like, incorrect.” Shaq has been pretty silent on that matter since.

Even Shaq’s eldest son, Myles O’Neal, is in a relationship with the model and actress, Angelica Streetman. He rarely ever comments on Myles’ relationship but is known to be supportive of them. So it appears that the O’Neal kids don’t abide by his dating rules. That leaves fans to guess who among Shaq’s kids would surprise him with a dating bombshell.
