Having recently sold his stake in the Charlotte Hornets, Michael Jordan currently has a net worth of $3.5 billion. His deal with Nike has made him the highest-earning athlete of all time. He retired from basketball over 20 years ago. Times have changed, and there are athletes in the current generation who make Jordan’s entire playing career earnings in a single year.
For example, Cristiano Ronaldo took his talents to Saudi Arabia and signed a massive deal for over $200 million for two and a half years. With his influence along with this, he had made it to the top of a reputed list. But despite all this, Ronaldo still falls short of the Chicago Bulls legend.

A few months ago, Forbes released their highest-earning athletes list for 2023. Among players like Messi, LeBron, and Mbappe, it was Cristiano Ronaldo who came in first in the rankings. With over half a billion followers on Instagram, it’s not surprising.
His star power, influence, and wizardry on the field have pushed him to the first spot. After signing with Al Nassr FC, Ronaldo is the highest-paid athlete in the world.
According to Forbes, in 2022, he made a total of $136 million. He made 46 million dollars with his play on the field and a whopping 90 million dollars off the court.
