However, even with the world at your fingertips, you could feel lacking in some departments. Just ask Shaquille O’Neal. In spite of finding success at every level imaginable, he still has feelings of inadequacy over certain things.

Unfortunately, those feelings stem from his millionaire son. One, whose career he played a big role in.

Despite his success as a basketball player, the Los Angeles Lakers legend didn’t find satisfaction. As a result, his business empire came to be. But, it wasn’t enough. There were more dreams to fulfill, and more avenues to conquer. Hence, the music career. And after a rocky start, O’Neal is finding success there too. Apparently, a lot of the credit goes to his millionaire son Myles.

For a long time, the younger O’Neal has been helping his dad set up his sets. “We always trade songs. We’ve been practicing together.”

However, it was the Miami Heat champion who introduced Myles to the world of DJing.

I remember when I just bought him his first DJ set. He’d be in a room, and I try to let my kids do everything on their own, so he’d come in, and I’d say, ‘Figure it out,’ and he’d come back with it figured out,”?recalled Shaq.

Since then, Myles has taken off as a DJ and is a growing name in the industry now. Meanwhile, DJ Diesel is also finding his own footing. However, as he tells People.com, the 4-time Champion is envious of one thing about his son. “He has that DJ hair. I don’t have the DJ hair.”?

As Shaq reiterated how proud he is of Myles, one can’t help but harken back to Myles’ own love letter to his dad.

“Through my dad”: Myles credits Shaq

Soon after securing a lucrative deal with Bacardi, one of the first names the 27-year-old thanked was his father. Fun fact – it was Shaq who brought Myles into the world of DJs. During his own sets, Shaq allowed him to experience DJing firsthand as a stage manager on his team.

While that was his first experience with the career, it certainly would not end up being his last. Today, Myles is a genuine name in the DJ industry, with Shaq singing his praises at every turn.

Whether it be Lollapalooza, Wonderland, or UFC afterparties, the $1.5 million worth man is cementing his own legacy. But, he has his father to thank every step of the way. “I got into the world of deejaying through my dad.”
