When living a life of fame, controversies are all too common. Every move and every mistake is magnified under the media’s spotlight. As a result, one needs to be extra cautious with their words and actions. Especially to make sure that they don’t hurt people’s sentiments. After Kyrie Irving faced major critique for his tweets last year, Hollywood A-lister, Jamie Foxx, fell to the same fate. However, this time around, fellow actors, and even some NBA players came out in support of the $170 million worth actor.

A former NBA guard, who had condemned Kyrie for his stance last year, had a different opinion this time around.

It is important to be mindful of whatever you say and post. As Jamie Foxx found out, one misstep can cause a severe backlash from every corner of the world. Whether media or fans, people were quick to turn on the actor. The entire incident came to light after Foxx posted a controversial message on his Instagram. Eventually, after seeing the hurt and divide his message had unintentionally propagated, Jamie apologized for his stance.

He clarified how he didn’t mean to take a shot at the Jewish community and was a result of a lack of foresight. However, unlike earlier instances, fellow actors were supportive of Jamie, claiming that his character was without blemishes.

Jalen Rose slammed Kyrie Irving last year

Early in the season, when Irving was still a member of the Brooklyn Nets, he took to Twitter to share a movie on Amazon Prime. Unfortunately, the movie supported some antisemitic messages, for which the former Boston Celtics star caught a lot of flack.

Among his detractors was Jalen Rose, who insisted that the NBA was allowing Brooklyn to make the decisions regarding discipline. “One thing I’ve seen (NBA commissioner) Adam Silver do is measure twice and cut once. … I think what he’s doing is allowing the team to legislate this.”

Recently cut from ESPN, Jalen has never been shy of sharing his opinions. Whether basketball or social, he always stands up for what he believes in. As he remains firmly in Foxx’s corner, perhaps the superstar can overcome this hurdle. What do you think of Jamie’s comments? Let us know in the comments below.
