Taking a stroll on a fine Sunday morning and grabbing a latte from a nearby coffee shop sounds like a great plan to relax on a holiday. Would it be the same if you were a famous person? Being a celebrity has its perks and perils. They do live a covetous life of fame and wealth. But freedom of layman is always a luxury.
Charles Barkley is one such celebrity. But what has the NBA legend got to find peace amidst bustling fame?

60-year-old Charles Barkley once sat with Golf Weekly for a quick Q&A session. With more than 10,000 rebounds, we are well aware of The Round Mound of Rebounds’ and his basketball legacy, earning him tremendous fame.
Additionally, the NBA star is highly known for his love for golf and his past friendship with golf legend Tiger Woods. Despite being an NBA star, Chuck got quite a swing in greens. Yet he’s been mocked.
When GW questioned about what pleasure yielded to him, Chuck said, “There’s [sic] only two things when you are a celebrity that you can do and get peace: golf and fishing.”

Furthermore, he claimed that fans have always been around to have a chat with him, which takes a toll on him. “I meet amazing people in my life, but when you go to the supermarket, people want to talk to you. When you go to the dry cleaner, people want to talk to you. It’s hard to find something to do when you’re famous. But when you go on the golf course and you’re out there in nature, there’s nothing like it.”

How did Barkley fare in his NBA career?
Currently, Barkley is an NBA analyst who works for TNT. His career as a sports analyst is highly successful. Yet he has a quite distinguishable NBA legacy left behind. ‘Chuck’ came from a very difficult background and carved his career into a successful NBA player.

Barkley has contributed to 16 seasons of the NBA and remains one of the dominant rebounders to date. He played with a number of teams and achieved success everywhere he went. During his 16-year NBA career, he has remained one of the most aggressive players. He has been a perennial star in the NBA.
