Allen Iverson and Reebok go hand in hand. Iverson is one of the pioneers of the brand, which helped establish its position in the basketball world. Along with Iverson, Shaquille O’Neal was also heavily part of the Reebok brand in the 1990s. Iverson always dreamed of becoming a player as impactful as Michael Jordan. For that, he had set his sights on a few goals for him to accomplish.

In 1996, after getting drafted, he was handed the opportunity to fulfill one of his dreams, and he did not let that slip away. Years later, his loyalty is set to pay him great dividends.

Even when he was in college, he was naturally attracted to shoes. Allen Iverson always loved wearing Air Jordans, especially the Jordan 11s. He himself has revealed that he cared more about his shoes than the rest of his outfit. He wanted to be like Jordan. For that reason, he always dreamed of having a signature shoe.

So after getting drafted by the Philadelphia 76ers, he could not pass up the deal brought to him by Reebok. During a? recent interview with GQ, Iverson was asked about his signing with Reebok. It’s been 27 years since he signed with them.

Iverson said, “A big, long journey. It took a lot of hard work to one day have your own signature show. That was my dream obviously.

He revealed that it did not matter which brand did it, but he would have gladly accepted any offer that gave him a signature shoe. That was one of his dreams. Allen Iverson’s shoes were loved by people when they came out. They are so iconic that people still wear them.

Iverson is set for a big payday from Reebok

Reebok has always been loyal to Iverson, and vice versa. Iverson and Shaquille O’Neal have now joined the management of Reebok and are hoping to bring it back to its former glory.

Iverson is still yet to receive $32 million from Reebok. This is part of a contract that they made back in the early 2000s.

In 2001, Iverson signed a 5-year, $50 million contract with Reebok. But there was a part of the deal that said that Iverson would receive $32 million after he turned 55. The money will be in the form of a trust fund. He is now 48 years old, so it is going to take him 7 more years before he gets his big payday.
