Dennis Rodman is the latest NBA player to enter the wine business. Over the years, many stars have joined the $341 billion market, and the 5x champion is now gearing up to compete with them. While stars like Dwyane Wade have tried to make wine more affordable and accessible to the general public, Rodman has gone the complete opposite way and is releasing a top-shelf wine.

It is appropriately titled ‘The Rebel by Dennis Rodman‘. As it is now available for pre-order, Rodman took to social media to share the news of his new journey.

  • Dennis Rodman recently shared a video on Instagram of him promoting his new wine. A single bottle of ‘The Rebel Cabernet Sauvignon’ is going for $69.99 on their website, making it stand on the higher end among consumer wines in terms of price.

The bottle has a vibrant image of Rodman on it, and the cork has his initials D and R burned on it on the top. Based on what the Chicago Bulls legend said in his video, it is unclear if this is going to be business for the long run, as Rodman said that it is one-and-done and won’t be available for long.

In the video, Rodman said, “Once it’s gone, it’s gone. One and done. So come on, guys, check it out. D Rod, Rebel“.

With NBA players showing more interest in the growing wine industry day by day, Dennis Rodman is just following the path set by NBA legends like Dwyane Wade and Stephen Curry.

NBA stars are involved in the wine business

Dwyane Wade was one of the earliest venturers in the wine business. He started his Wade Cellars while he was still playing in the NBA. Since then, stars like Stephen Curry and CJ McCollum have also brought their own brands to the industry.

While different stars have different motivations behind their initiatives, Wade has always talked about making a change in society and changing the stigma surrounding wine in his culture.

Wade has tried his best to make affordable wine for everyone, but Dennis Rodman, on the other hand, has gone the other way and released one in the premium category.
